Figured I'd start this so new owners can have a heads up on some things to check before they fail and also to expect some problems down the road. My SS may not be typical to all models and years (2017 base model) but then again...
It is mostly my every day rider and transport 20k+
I'd like to see others chime in to help us all out.
So here is my list so far.
rear axle bearing failure (drive side) 3 sets
brake balance switches 1 set
angle drive input seal (1)
master clutch cylinder (1) Found aluminum filings in res.
May I add all these parts and labor was done no charge by my dealer.
I am still on second rear tire and do not hotdog or abuse the vehicle.
